HEPA Filter
Adding the High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance (HEPA) doubles the speed of particle removal. HEPA filters are used in hospitals because they are considered the best filters on the market today. HEPA filters were originally developed by the Atomic Energy Commission during World War II to remove hazardous radioactive dust from manufacturing plant exhausts.
In order to receive a HEPA filter designation, a filter must collect 99.97% of a specific particulate that measures 0.3 microns in size, in tests established by the Institute of Environmental Sciences. The Pristine Air® Bypass HEPA system is 99.97% effective at .3 microns and removes particles as small as .01 microns.

The Pristine Air® whole house polarized-media electronic air cleaner installs directly into the 1” filter rack(s) in the existing heating and cooling system. Its enhanced polarized media combines elements of both electronic and media air cleaners. Particles are charged (polarized) to attract the smallest of particles to an easily replaced media pad. Polarized sub-micron particles join with other particles and are collected on subsequent passes.
